Since 2009  John Slaytor has dedicated his photography to capturing the poignancy and dignity of funerals, creating images that honour both loss and connection.

Recognised in major national photography awards such as the National Photographic Portrait Prize, the Olive Cotton Prize, and the Moran Photographic Prize, John continues to explore how photography can give form to memory and meaning.
